Motivation in Football 1st Published at W.M.A.

prem league

As the full details of the new Premier League fixtures come out a line is drawn under last seasons results, how will the Managers and his staff begin to Motivate their Teams for the new season ahead.

Manchester United will probably be another year at the office Sir Alex Ferguson will be disappointed in his team if he even has to motivate them after Winning the Premier League the motivation will be that every team in the league will want to beat the Champions and I would assume that if any player needs motivating they will not be seen in a Manchester United Shirt very often if at all.

Liverpools motivation will be not to let their rivals take the trophy again.

Chelsea with a New Manager and after last Seasons achievements should not need much motivation

Arsenal Has Arsen Wenger still got the drive and Passion to to move Arsenal forward after some very disappointing Seasons.

Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester City and Perhaps Totternham will need all the motivation that there respective Managers can muster.

As  you can see each Team will have a different Motivation.

All squads will be very self motivated at the early stage of the season as long as results are going well, but the top  managers will need more than football skills and knowledge to survive the season, Man Management and Motivation will play an enormous part in keeping the teams at the top as well as keeping their jobs in such a very result motivated Job.

The Motivation for the top teams will obviously be to either win the league title or finish in the top four to secure a European Champions league place this will be a minimum requirement for the top four clubs who seem to monopolise these positions each year but with the Foreign Investment that is now entering the Premiership the pressure will be even greater.

Take Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson in charge most people would not expect them to be outside the top four positions, fourth would be a disappointment but it is still reasonably respectable, but the thoughts at Manchester must be what happens when he retires the pressure will be enormous as  at Chelsea even employing a top Manager will not guarantee success.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Their first home fixture at home to West ham United at face value would be welcolmed  but what bench mark will that set West Ham had a good turn around last season ans expectations will be very high I am sure they will relish the prospect of visiting Wolves who will have to adjust to Premiership football very quick, with West Ham now very organised will look to this fixture as an Ideal start, but with Wolverhampton a defeat will put pressure on them for a long hard season ahead.

So on reflection all of the teams will have different ambitions and need very different motivations, as all the Managers will know that after a very short introduction possibly before November at least one will be sacked and the merry go round will start all over again, just ask any Manager if they would change and the answer will be a big NO, pitting their wits and motivation skills to the test  other season will be all the Motivation they need.
